If you haven't had organic pig heart before, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Inexpensive and really easy to prepare, heart meat has great depth of flavour that's surprisingly steaky. Of all the muscles in the pork carcass, it goes without saying that the heart has done a lot of work. It has literally not had a moment's rest so expect robust, open-grained texture with plenty of bite. When cooked very quickly or very slowly it's a succulent cut that delivers distinctive flavour. You could cook them quickly with some lovely stir fry vegeatables - we have the recipe on here!

At The Organic Butchery, we believe in using the most sustainable methods possible whilst organically rearing our animals; we aim to use as much of the carcass as possible, to reduce wastage.

If you're won over by the flavour of heart, try organic lamb heart and organic ox heart, too. 

Please note, as this is a whole natural product the exact weight may vary depending on the size of the animal.
