Organic Beef Suet, Previously Frozen
A traditional and delicious fat that's actually rather good for you - part of our offal range
Suet is the raw natural fat found around the loins and kidneys. It has a low melting point, making it the perfect ingredient in traditional steamed puddings or dumplings on a hearty beef stew.
At The Organic Butchery, we rear our beef cattle to the highest Soil Association welfare standards and we believe that every part of the animal should be used. This includes the fats. Beef suet is a sustainable product and helps ensure no part of the carcass goes to waste.

Nutrition is a complicated thing and it's not always easy to see through the fads and misconceptions. For years we've been told to avoid animal fats - they've been blamed for everything from heart disease to high blood pressure - but sensible nutritionists agree that animal fats bring lots of positive health benefits. Most western diets have a lop-sided balance of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids which are linked to lots of health problems, including obesity. Pure animal fats such as beef dripping and suet are packed with Omega 3s so can help to restore the vital Omega balance.
