A brilliant combination of smoke and spice for stunning hot smoking results, this hot smoking starter kit is bursting with punchy flavours. Just add chips to the smoker box and place on your BBQ heat for an explosion of flavour. The kit includes a stainless smoker box together with Whisky Barrel Oak smoking chips, Alder Wood smoking chips and a shaker jar of hot hot Piri Piri Spice Rub all packed into a gift box along with a 4-page leaflet featuring a range of meat, vegetable and dessert recipe ideas. A fantastic way to add an extra dimension of flavour to your cooking.

Whisky barrel oak chips: a strong smoke flavour with an intense whisky aroma, perfect for beef, game, salmon, fruits and vegetables. Produced from 25 year old oak barrels used to age Scottish whisky.

Pear chips: a delicate fruitwood with a subtle sweetness and spicy overtones, delicious with chicken, pork, fish, seafood and vegetables. Sourced from managed European orchards.

Piri Piri Hot Spice Rub: a fiery blend of herbs and spices. Season your food and leave for up to one hour prior to cooking.

  • We deliver all around mainland Britain, excluding the Highlands and Islands. You will be able to choose your preferred delivery slot at checkout.

  • We can deliver to you Tuesday to Saturday.

    We will pick, pack and deliver your box the day you have requested.

    For every order, we'll send you a text message on the morning it is due to be delivered.

    Our courier will leave it in your requested safe place if you'd prefer a contactless delivery.

  • We have a minimum order of £50.

  • Our delivery charges start at £4.95. 

  • No. You can leave a message with your order telling us where you would like to have your box placed. It would be best placed somewhere cool or at least in the shade, but the vegetables are carefully packed in an insulated box to ensure that they remain at a low temperature.

    Our couriers will send you a text message or email, whichever you prefer, giving you an hour slot when your box will arrive. If that doesn’t suit you, some options will be provided to make your delivery more convenient.

  • Delivery costs £4.95, Tuesday - Friday or is free for orders over £120. Saturday delivery is £6.95. If you need your order before 12pm on your selected delivery date please select our Pre 12 pm option, there is an additional charge for this service (Weekday's £6.95 & Saturday £7.95).

  • No. You can leave a message with your order telling us where you would like to have your box placed. It would be best placed somewhere cool or at least in the shade – especially during the hotter months of the year. Our products will stay at the same temperature for up to 40 hours, so just make sure that you can pick up your order within that time.

    Our couriers will send you a text message or email, whichever you prefer, giving you an hour slot when your box will arrive. If that doesn’t suit you, some options will be provided to make your delivery more convenient.

  • Our products will stay cool and fresh at the same temperature for up to 40 hours. When your receive your box, simply refridgerate and cook before the stated use by date, or freeze to enjoy at a later date.

    Delivered Fresh

    To keep your order cold and fresh we use gel ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or return them back to us to be reused through our free packaging return scheme.

Choose a natural charcoal or compressed briquette for a long, low-burning heat source - hot smoking is best achieved at lower temperatures of around 110-120°C. Add a handful of chips to the stainless steel smoker box, replace the lid and place the box on your heat source. As it heats up the chips will begin to smoulder, releasing their smoky flavours. The box will protect the chips from simply burning up and promote mellow and longerlasting flavour production. Don't use too much - try to complement rather than mask the flavours of the food you're cooking.
