Handcrafted Waxed Cotton Aprons for the Keen Cooks
This beautifully handcrafted full bib apron is made from British waxed cotton. In a gorgeous Somerset oak or Midnight blue colour, it features extra-long waist straps, adjustable necktie and useful loop tie on the pocket. With four pockets that are secured by copper rivets, you can be certain this apron will last - the perfect gift if she enjoys spending her time in the kitchen or garden.
We work with Fieldware Co who design and make workwear and functional products for the garden, work and home. They use responsibly sourced cotton and low impact manufacturing with processes that are gentle to the product and the environment. Their products are truly built to last.

Traditional Tallow Soap & Candles With Indulgent, Natural Scents
We don’t think you can go wrong with a candle or soap bar as a present for her and we have a wide range on offer, all beautifully hand wrapped. We have single soaps named ‘Dirty Gurty’ which is infused with comfrey and scented with geranium essential oil and ‘Pig in the Bath’ which offers a soothing lavender scent. Plus, we have two gorgeous soap gift sets - the first includes ‘Dirty Gurty’ and ‘Pig in the Bath’ and the second features 6 mini soaps. Our two candles are lavender and sweet orange, both of which feature pure essential oils and dried botanicals on the top. Made from old beer bottles, it’s just another way Hog & Tallow are reusing something that would otherwise be wasted.
Based on the Somerset Devon border, Hog & Tallow's soaps are made to a traditional method using lard and tallow from their own smallholding and from trusted organic farms, including us. It also makes use of top-quality waste products from nearby microbreweries and dairies, along with foraged botanicals. Using by-products from other producers is a wonderfully simple way of avoiding unnecessary waste and it happily avoids the need to use imported materials such as palm oil. As Hog & Tallow is a plastic-free business, paper packaging is carefully recycled and reused.

Combining crispy skin with succulent breast and flavoursome brown meat, there's plenty going on in a roast chicken to appeal to everyone's tastes. Chicken not to your liking? There are a few cuts of meat that deserve centre stage at a celebratory dinner and organic whole rack of lamb is most definitely one of them. Visually stunning, richly flavoured and incredibly tender, our butchers have French trimmed it, meaning each bone is clean of meat.
